The U-M computer architecture club, a student-led community dedicated to computer hardware & silicon design.

What is Inference-M?

Our flagship project is Inference-M: a custom LLM inference accelerator chip designed from architecture simulation down to physical silicon tapeout. You will join a community of passionate hardware engineers to build and simulate the underlying network-on-chip processor, directly contributing to our codebase.

STEP 1.

Join the Mailing List

Sign up through our interest form to receive announcements, project updates, and meeting schedules.

STEP 2.

Attend the Mass Meeting

During our recruiting cycle at the start of each semester, show up to our mass meeting to learn more about our projects and architecture subteams.

STEP 3.

Apply to a Subteam

Complete the subteam application to indicate your technical interests, background, and preferred project focus.

STEP 4.

Finish an Onboarding Project

Complete a targeted onboarding project to get familiar with our hardware codebase, toolchains, and design methodologies.

STEP 5.

Contribute to Inference-M

Join an active architecture subteam, build RTL pipelines, debug hardware implementations, and directly contribute to the Inference-M processor codebase.
